We hunted scratch birds only today. It was fun but with the snow and all the recent below zero weather, no one had been out since last weekend so there were very few birds. We got a hen as soon as we got into section A but then only saw three tracks in A and one set in section B. The river had flooded into the bends so it took away a lot of the good cover along the edges. We walked a little over 4 miles and it was around 0° but sunny and calm.
